Worldwise Calendar 2016
The Worldwise Learning Centre has gathered twelve breathtaking photographs, which perfectly capture the culture and flavours of many different countries from across the world, to showcase in their annual calendar.
The chosen pictures were submitted by travellers—made up of students, staff and friends of the centre—who were on a mission to capture the essence of their chosen country – giving an insight into the culture, customs or people.
The Worldwise Calendar 2016 showcases a range of must-see places, starting with France, where ‘the love flows like the Seine through Paris’, right through to a journey on a fishing boat, plying its route among the limestone karsts of Halong Bay in Vietnam.
Whether it’s a market stall in Camaguey, Cuba or Zouk of Essaouira, Morocco, these twelve diverse and beautiful photographs are bound to inspire you to travel to the wondrous places represented.
To celebrate the Worldwise Photo Exhibition, twelve photographs—which best captured the ‘Worldwise’ spirit— were selected to be part of the calendar out of 140 submitted entries. The twelve winning photos, along with thirty runners-up, were also featured in the official opening of the Worldwise calendar in December.
The calendar has been distributed all over the world, to university partners, businesses and friends of UCLan. We are pleased to share it with you online here (best viewed with Firefox or Chrome).
